In Mohave, once I use "Upper+command+3" a little captured screen will appear at the bottom right of the screen and will take 4-5 seconds to appear on the desktop. How do I ignore this? What do I need is when I press "Upper+command+3" the file will appear on the desktop instantly.

Press "command shift 5". At the bottom of the screen you will see a bar with "Options". Click Options and uncheck "Show Floating Thumbnail". Then press "esc" to exit.
