Is this a picture of an Apple router?

I used this equipment about 10 years ago, but I can't remember how I used it to connect to wifi (if that is what I did). Now, should I discard it as trash? Or can I connect to a modem and make use of it?

MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Mid 2014), iOS 11.4.1

Is it possible to erase all firmware on Airport Extreme and reinstall? Since Apple no longer makes routers, I am thinking of buying a used Airport Extreme to upgrade from my airport express. accidentally deleted wifi extender network I accidentally deleted my wifi linksys6500 extender from the network. It will not accept my password when I try other network. Then says I am not connected to the network and do not have an IP address. Help! I've tried everything. Do I reset the password, start all over and set up the extender again or just give up!
