iPhone Xr Battery + Screen Time

So I've been using my iPhone Xr for a week now, and I've got to say that the battery has been awesome. For some reason, I've been getting only around 4-5 hours of screen time, and others days i get close to around 6. It's pretty inconsistent. I charge my phone in the morning with a 29w usb type c fast charger and it gets to 100. People have been claiming on communities such as reddit and reviews that they have around 7 hours of screen time with a full charge. I'im wondering what I should do or if I should be worried at all. I have background app refresh OFF for all of my apps and I'm using the latest ios as of right now. I want to be able to pull more with this bad boy, but idk if it's the indexing or actual hardware that's been sucky.

Thoughts?

Keep in mind that fb and sc say that they've been running in background, but I have them turned off in Background App Refresh.

Congratulations on your new iPhone XR. I do see that you're finding some discrepancy on the battery usage, however. You're only able to use your iPhone between 4 and 5 hours at a time while others report having more. I'm happy to help.

iPhone Battery and Performance -- This article not only explains how a lithium-ion battery behaves, but it also provides steps on extending the battery life of your device. There's also a new feature with iOS 11.3 called Battery Health which will help manage performance. You can also see what's using the most power by checking the Battery Usage a bit lower in the app.

About the battery usage on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch -- Even though you believe you turned off Background App Refresh, check the settings to be sure.
