Keep getting message that needs software update but after clicking install eventually get message that software not available from developer. Can anyone Help please

Reboot your router, device and your computer. Try booting the computer into safe mode. Will iTunes see the device and/or download this software update? If not you might want to Contact Apple Support to see if they have any advice.

Reboot and try again. From the sounds of things iTunes is trying to download a little patch to enable it to see your device.
