Do you guys send out emails for suspicious purchases?

My mom recived an email saying there has been suspicious activity on her Apple ID account with some app purchases, but the email seems suspicious itself. There are grammar mistakes and when we went to go cancel the transanction it asked for her social security number. The email was from AppleStore@team.**. Please let me know if it is a legitimate apple email

That is not an Apple address.

It is very possible this is a phishing attempt to get your account details. Do not interact or click on any links in the email and see this. Avoid phishing emails, fake 'virus' alerts, phony support calls, and other scams - Apple Support

Apple will not address you as Customer, they use your name provided when you created your Apple ID.

This will help identify legitimate emails from Apple, Identify legitimate emails from the App Store or iTunes Store - Apple Support
