built in isight on my macbook pro 2009 not working

the built in isight does not show up at all in the system information also when I use the command alt r and p keys it still doesn't work at all I've also did a fresh reinstallation of mac os x Yosemite and that still didn't fix the problem

isight and webcam not working with El Capitan 10.11.6 I can t get mu isight or external webcam to work. My imac is a 2008 ,running El Capitan 10.11.6. Both are listed in the system report. The microphone on the external webcam will work, but thats it. I have tried a number of things: "killall vdc assistant"; restart holding power/shift/control/option to rest smc; and checking to see if any app is blocking access. Even tried to reinstall os, but ran into a dead end. After downloading and starting the install screen, said can't be installed on this machine. Restart and went through same thing 5 times. went ahead and reinstalled via carbon copy cloner so am good with the exception of the isight issues. Any suggestions or other troubleshooting assistance would be appreciated.

iSight camera not working Hi, i have problems using built-in iSight camera in my Mid-2010 MBP. Photo booth says that i have not connected camera, even tough in System Information > USB camera is connected. In safe mode iSight works normally.

My Mac doesn't recognise my camera My internal webcam is not recognised by my Apple Mac - it keeps asking me to install a camera. I have gone through all the recommendations from Apple, with no luck. Could this be something to do with BigSur installation? Any ideas on how I can fix this or is it a job for a technician? Thank you!
