Question

My Apple Pencil 2 won't pair with my New 2018 iPad Pro 12.9

When I magnetically connect the Apple Pencil 2 to my iPad Pro 12.9 it recognizes that an Apple Pencil is connected.

the pairing button even shows up.

I press the pairing button and nothing happens ...

It doesn't show up in bluetooth settings.

It doesn't show up in the battery widget.

I have restarted my iPad Pro
I have turned bluetooth on / off
I have unpaired all bluetooth devices
I have reset the network settings and .... NOTHING!?

Any bright ideas out there.

I do have a Genius Bar appointment in a couple days, but thought I'd see if anybody else has run into this?

it just happened to me this morning. I follow the instruction from apple support as per screen shot attached. And it work well.

This started happening to me too, tried everything talked about here to no avail and then found a strange fix... I added the battery widget to my widget screen on my apple iPad Pro 11 inch and now it recognises the pencil? Could be coincidence, but its worth a try.
