Adding a blank home screen between screens

I have an iPhone XsMax and with the latest iOS. I organize my apps in multiple folders and spread them out on many screens that demarcate them between work and personal.

I would like to be able to add a new blank home screen between my current screens # 3 and 4. All of my 12 screens and filled with apps in folders.

I used to be able to add a blank screen by plugging my phone into my laptop and manually adding a new screen wherever I wanted one. I do not seem to be able to do that with this new phone and OS.

Could y'all let me know if it is possible to do this?

Thank you!

terrisc,

Thank you for the clarification. Unfortunately, you cannot do exactly what you want, in the way you want.

To create a blank page between pages with apps and/or folders, you will have to move the apps/folders individually. Then, if you do not put an app/folder on the blank page you created before you select "Done", the system will remove the blank page.

Cheers.

Hello terrisc,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

I understand that you would like to add a blank screen to your iPhone to separate your work and personal items. Unfortunately, it is no longer possible to add a completely blank page. But what you could do is to add a page with just one item on that page, possibly in your case an app or two that you may use for both work and personal.

Best regards.

I'm sorry, I think either I have mischaracterized or folks are completely misunderstanding what I want to do.

I know that you cannot have a BLANK screen on either an iPhone or iPad. But let's say that you have on your iPhone 8 screens filled with apps (most of them in folders). Most people would add their next set of apps to Page 9. That is not what I want to do. I know how to do that.

What I want to do is to add my next set of apps IN BETWEEN PAGES 4 AND 5. The "blank screen" that I would add more apps would be BETWEEN TWO ALREADY FILLED SCREENS.

I am not sure how to explain this differently because it seems so clear to me.
