Do you need the LTE version for fall detection to work, or can you have your non-LTE watch call emergency services through your iPhone?
Is fall detection supported with the non-LTE version of the Apple Watch Series 4?

Your Series 4 watch will make emergency calls by any available route, if the iPhone is reachable over Bluetooth it will be used. The advantage to Cellular is that it provides an additional redundant path if the iPhone is off or out of range.
