Blocking contacts on Mac not working

Hello all,

I have a lot of blocked numbers on my iPhone, as seen in the image.

Previously, these blocked numbers would be reflected on my Mac, under Messages->Preferences->iMessage->Blocked. But since a while, that list appears empty.

So the numbers aren't reflected. And if I want to manually add a number there, if I click the "+", a list of my contacts appears, but if I click on one, it doesn't add it to the blocked list. It does nothing.

Also, because of this, any blocked number that messages me is correctly blocked in my iPhone, but it reaches my Mac.

Tristan,

Thank you for that idea!

I really wish Apple would get on this bug though. It's been around for a while now!

Hi,

Did you update or reinstall your Mac recently?

I’ve exactly the same problem on my iMac (after a fresh clean install of Mojave 10.14.2) ! Blocked contacts that previously appear on both my IPhone, iPad (iOS 12.1.1) and iMac (on High Sierra) are only listed on my iPhone and iPad now. If I modify this list on my iPhone, it’s immediatly updated on my iPad and vice versa. But nothing on my iMac.

The only way I found to add a number on my iMac is to use FaceTime and click « + » on the « blocked » tab (does not work in iMessage) but again nothing is reflected on my iPhone and iPad.

Did you find any solution to these problems? Is it a Mojave bug ?
