Thanks for responding... I end up downloading an ICON app from the store and creating new ones....
This seems as a great solution but very elaborate.... Thanks for your help.....
If you require a higher resolution the procedure is more complicated.
Go to folder /System/Library/CoreServices/CoreTypes.bundle/Contents/Resources.
Copy the file Multipleitemsicon.icns to your desktop.
Open e.g Powerpoint app and insert the icns file.
Expand the resolution to 1024 x 768
Then put the image you want on top of the icon (can be another inserted image or a new drawing).
Now put the transparancy of the icns image to 100% and group it with your image.
Now save the group as a PNG file.
Open the PNG file in preview app.
Select the image and copy to the clipboard.
Paste from the "get info" of your file.
Now you have a high resolution image to replace the file icon.
I have custom folders Icon that once I paste the image on the Icon, (command Info) it creates an Icon file on the folder....
I have not seen this until Mojave...
How do I fix this this issue?
this is really awesome!!! It solved my problem
You are welcome !
Nobody answers.. I guess I will have to submit feedback even thought I don't get a response there either...
icon? is a hidden file . Use shift-cmd-. to switch between display and not display the hidden files.
