Stop iTunes remembering last playback position

Hello,

Since years I have been listening to Belgian rediastations on my Airplay speakers using iTunes remote. I created iTunes tracks by entering the steaming url of my favourite stations.

Everything was working fine until a couple of months ago. All of the sudden, iTunes contninous to playback that specific radio station when resuming it when I come back home in the evening from the point were I paused the music earlier that morning. Only way to solve this is to playback any other iTunes track and then relaunch playback of that specific radio station.

I already checked playback options, and "remember playback position" has been disabled.

Anyone who can help me with this problem?

Kind Regards

Hello Remco8850,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities!

I understand from your post that you do not wish to have your radio station continue from where you left off. Even though you have disabled this feature, your radio station continues to play from where you left off. Test the issue while in safe mode and a new user account this will determine if it is a systemwide issue or a user account issue.

Hello Jeremy,

The problem is still there. In gaat the problem Only occurs when streaming from my Mac to my HomePods.

As long as I stream to any other device but my homepods, the streaming works fine. As soon as I add 1 or more Homepods as destination device the problem occurs again. So I think this must be a flaw in either iTunes or the Hompod software.

Kind regards

Remco
