bring data from old iTunes library to new

Hello,

I am packing way my old iMac.

I've transferred the iTunes folder to an external drive to use with a MacBook.

Is there a way to get iTunes on the MacBook to add the data (such as play count, date added, playlists, etc. ) from the old computer?

Cheers

Neddy,

The playcounts, playlists, date added, etc. are all part of the iTunes library along with the content, so if you move it as a unit all of those will come along. The key is to copy across the entire iTunes folder. See more information in here:
