I use Parallels (latest release candidate is working very well) to run Autocad and Rhino on my Mac Pro. But I cannot use the number pad on my apple bluetooth keyboard when in parallels. Anyone cracked this?
[I know some will consider this not a Mac Pro question; but I find this community politer and better informed than the others I've looked at]
Mac Pro 2.66, 5GB,
Mac OS X (10.4.8),
Powerbook 17, MacBook, Cube
Just stated using Windows (Vista) and always stumped - and hugely surprised - when I try to use the keypad and it won't work -- even of all things -- in QUICKEN 2007!
Is there some secret or hidden "numeric lock"? do I have to hold down shift key while using numeric keypad?
hit the clear button on the keypad and then try again. that is the num lock button in windows. older G4 powermac keyboards still say num lock on that button
I found that the on-screen keyboard utility found buried in the accessories->accessibility folder to be useful for these things. I use that to turn on the num pad as no other keys on the keyboard seem to work for me in vista.
Thanks. The on-screen keyboard option works but the 'clear' button is far easier ... but only if you know which key this is: on my bluetooth keyboard (same layout as the usb one?) it is the key on the number pad to the left of the equals sign (=). It's a rectangle with a cross through it.
