Remove iTunes OSX Mojave

Since OSX Mojave I'm unable to remove iTunes from my os using either the 'drag to bin' method or the:

`$ sudo rm -rf /Applications/iTunes.app/` method.

I have my terminal configured for full disk access and am a superuser on this machine

With the second method I get: "Operation not permitted"

Anyone managed to remove iTunes?

MacBook Pro TouchBar and Touch ID, macOS Mojave (10.14.1), null

Oke, managed to disable/remove iTunes..

Be advised, this requires disabling of the system integrity protection.

Disabling this will allow you (or any app) to modify system critical files on your mac..

Steps to reproduce:

  • reboot your mac in recovery mode (hold CMD + R when booting)
  • click utilities -> terminal
  • type: `csrutil disable` hit enter.
  • reboot your mac.

you can now remove all applications you don't want.. (drag to bin)

after removing all 'unwanted' applications you can re-enable system integrity protection by following the above steps but type `csrutil enable` instead of `csrutil disable`.

I've had contact with Apple support.
As for macOS 10.14.1 this is not possible, disabling the AutoPlay function for iTunes (for i.e. when I connect my bluetooth headset) is also not possible. iTunes will always automatically open when i put on my HeadPhones.. Because my headphones have auto play/pause whenever I put them down/on I'm going to have to close iTunes alot..
