macOS Mojave Dynamic desktop

I like the dynamic desktop with Mojave. However it is only stable for a limited period of time. After one or two days it reverts to a still dark desktop and I have to redo in preferences.

Any tips on how to cure?

I have a mini mac with Mojave 10.14.1

Dynamic desktop not changing when dark mode is turned on Hi, I'm wondering if Dynamic Desktop (Mojave desert) will turn to the night picture when dark mode is turned on. I think it's supposed to (when you see dark mode, the desert picture is at night), but I'm not sure because my MacBook (2016, core m5) will not bring the night Mojave desert picture when dark mode is turned on. Is there a way to make it work, or is it just a bug? I've restarted the computer but that didn't work.Just upgraded to Mojave, running version 10.14, if that helps.Thanks

Dynamic Desktop not working Dynamic Desktop used to work on two different MacBooks (a Pro and a non) running Mojave 10.14.3. One was running darkmode, the other was not. As of last week, Dynamic Desktops on both stopped working and the desktop photos are stuck on the sunset sand dune. It used to cycle through daytime/sunset/night time as normally. Time and location is turned on and correct. FWIW, the sand dune photo from the Dynamic Desktop option has moved down to the Desktop Pictures section (below). Maybe that's the problem? Any way to get it back and to get DD working again?

Mojave dynamic desktop Why do my desktop mac & MacBook show "different dynamic" scenes? Here's what happens. I have a Mac mini and a MacBook both running 10.14.6. Both use the Mojave Desktop background "sand dune" with "Dynamic" selected. When both devices are running I would expect both backgrounds to be the same and change at the same time but this is not the case. 99% of the time both show different slides and both change the slide at different times. Here's what I've tried. On both machines- Ensured desktop/saver preferences match. Ensured Location services is Enabled. Ensured Time formats match. Ensured Dark Mode is enabled. I know this is probably not a major concern I just don't like it when something is not right on my Mac. Thanks for reading.

I understand from your post that Dynamic Desktop is reverting back to dark desktop after a few days. I recommend testing the issue while your Mac is in safe mode and/or in a new user account.
