canon pixma mx395

Hi,

I've recently bought a Canon Pixma MX395 printer and am trying to connect to my MacBook Air and it doesn't seem to be working - could you tell me if it is compatible with my MacBook and if so give me any direction on how to connect it?

Thank you,

Emma

It should be possible to connect the printer to a MacBook Air (via USB).

Do you have the appropriate drivers for your operating system? Could the following web page possibly be of interest?

I have a Pixma 310 that also stopped working when I upgraded my system software , I downloaded the newest drivers however Canon stopped supporting some of these older multi function home office machines but some other drivers will let the printer work such as gimp print if all else fails. I got around the wireless printing by plugging my usb printer cord into my airport extreme and sharing across my small home network. The Pixma 395 is still supported with drivers up to high sierra and the link is here. Good luck and hopefully this does the trick.https://www.canon-europe.com/support/consumer_products/products/fax__multifunctionals/inkjet/pixma_mx_series/mx395.aspx?type=drivers&language=EN&os=macOS%2010.13%20(High%20Sierra)
