Every night my phone goes into the do not disturb mode. But I don’t want it too. How do I permanently turn this function off? ( the settings indicate that the do not disturb function is not scheduled or active )

Are you using the Bedtime Mode? If so, have you verified that when you open the Clock app and tap on the Bedtime Mode, then tap on the Options button in the upper left-hand corner and make sure that the "Do Not Disturb During Bedtime" button is not turned on.
