Apple id

So since my first iPhone, my family and I used a family ID on my father’s name. About two month ago I decided to finally create my own Apple ID and so I did. Since I created it I have only problems. My main problem is that when I try to update apps, the iPhone is telling me to “insert my password for my Apple ID” but it’s the Apple ID of my father. A while ago I also tried to download a new app and it did the same thing, but then it gave me an option to change the Apple ID to mine. Now it won’t. So I cant upgrade any apps and even if I try to insert the password to my dad’s Apple ID- it transfers me to a page where I need to change my Apple ID account to my dad’s. So it doesn’t make sense. Help?

iPhone 6s, iOS 11.3.1

All apps (and anything else that you download from the store) are tied to the account that downloaded them, so any apps downloaded by your father's account can only be updated by his account - if you want them linked to your account you will have to delete them ad buy and download them on your account.

For new apps, whose account are you currently logged into (tap on the id/icon at the top of the Today tab) ?
