.dpx exports for Flame

Does anyone have any experience exporting .dpx from FCP for use in Flame? I've never had to do this before, so any advice or input would be appreciated.

The footage is being sent to Flame for green screen compositing, and it's in PAL, just to make things more interesting...

As far as I know there is no way to export DPX from FCP. I'm assuming that you a have 10 bit footage in your FCP project? If it's only 8 bit footage at PAL resolution it is strange that they are asking you for DPX files. If it is only 8 bit you can output an SGI or TGA sequence from FCP of your scenes so they can be imported into Flame. If your footage is 10bit or the post house insists for DPX files then export your sequences as a QT that supports 10 bit and open up in AFter Effects. From After effects you can export DPX files (log or lin). You just need to select a Cineon Sequence for ouput and modified the options for DPX.

Again if these green screens are standard 8 bit PAL resolution it is a waste of time, bandwidth and space to use the DPX format. DPX are usually done at the transfer (scanning of film) stage and save directly to data as DPX for greater color depth (instead of going to tape). If you already have these sequences in your FCP project they probably didn't come from DPX originally.
