Duckduckgo

is there any way to remove DuckDuckGo from an iphone? Or at Least disable it?

DuckDuckGo is a search engine, and the only one available that does not track your search history. If you don't want to use it just go to Settings/Safari and choose a search engine that tracks your every search and sells that information to advertisers, such as Google.

I don’t believe the Safari option takes up any device space, it’s just code that when selected points to that search option, because of that I’m not sure why you would wish to remove it if at all that was possible (which it isn’t).


Could you expand on your concern.

I don't want google **** either, I wish I could do on my phone what I did on my MacBook, totally removed all google, all flash, all java (oracle) and more....nice and private, super fast


And I use DuckDuckGo ever since Apple included it in a security update about 4 years ago.
