Thanks for the quick reply. I tried uninstalling Karabiner-elements and it did not help.
I tried to searching Finder for any occurrences of karabiner, but it turns out that does not work either (finder closes if I try to type anything into the search.)

I also wonder if this could be related to something I did a couple days ago. On Monday I accidentally deleted my printer queue info, so I try to restore the printer configuration from Time Machine following some instructions. I restored a few directories to version from a few days before, but I think it causes some problem with various programs. E.g., I had to reinstall Microsoft office suite and Skype stopped working (I can only get and old version of Skype to work). I am wondering if I should just restore my entire computer to one month ago would be the best option. Is that a good idea or could it cause more problems?
