I keep getting an error saying certain songs can't be played as I am not signed in to Apple Music

I am definitely signed in, I can see my account when I go to 'view my account'. I can't seem to get past this, no matter how many times I enter my password. Any advice please?

MacBook Pro, OS X El Capitan (10.11.5)
