Can not find Netflix app in store and no application for MacBook air. Can you help?

You view Netflix on a Mac (or a PC) with your browser. Go to www.netflix.com
Like I say, there is no app for Netflix on the Mac, and you cannot download from Netflix on a Mac.
It's what the OP wants to do (for watching in air travel): Netflix allows downloading on iOS, Android, Fire and Windows 10 but not a Mac.
I followed the link to apple app store and the link only takes me to a preview. I tried searching for the app at the store no netflix app appeared. I have a MacBook air and any app only says iPhone or iPad. I am no further ahead and I still can not download any app for netflix so I can download movies to take on the plane.

I'm not aware of being able to watch any streaming service offline with a Mac without a set-top box with sufficient memory to do so.
Netflix app. I can not find it in the store although the apple website says I must download this app only available in the app store. Help!
