Activation lock has suddenly appeared on my iPod touch. I don't remember the original apple ID and password used to set it up. When I look on my iMac I can see that the iPod is showing. How can I get rid of the activation lock. Do I have to remove my iPod and if so will it set up again to connect to my iTunes? Any help?

iPod touch, up to date
