I was wondering if the Beyerdynamic DT 770 250 Ohm headphones work well with a MacBook pro? or if they require a headphone amp? For making music/beats on a MacBook pro, would the 250 or 80 ohm be the better option without a headphone amp?
The Beyer 770's are very good. The 250Ω are better, but if plugging directly into the MacBook you should probably go with the 80Ω.
I think either will be fine, though the 80ohm will be louder.
I use headphones which are 300ohms without a headphone amp, they are completely loud enough with my audio interface, and also loud enough directly into the Macbook, though my other headphones which are 60ohm, are quite a bit louder.
