lost printer connection

My HP printer suddenly stopped working on my iMac. There's a message that says "cannot find printer", What can I do to resolve this problem.

iMac, iOS 12.1

I have a hp envy photo 7800 printer which uses wifi to print from my iMac. yesterday I tried to use it and the settings app said that "cannot find printer" I reset my iMac and also unplugged the printer which did not resolve the problem. I suspect that I should enter wifi password, but have no clue where to go to do this, and maybe that won't work anyhow. HELP me please!
