Hi
i currently have an old Apple TV which doesn’t allow you to add apps (no App Store on home screen). I am wanting to upgrade to a new version of Apple TV so I can add Kayo sports for $25/month and get rid of my Foxtel account which is $50/month?
Is it possible to add Kayo tv to my new Apple TV? And if so which type of Apple TV as I see there are 3 versions available and would prefer to get the cheapest one if possible?
I am based in Australia.

If Kayo tv is available in the app store then yes, it would require the developer to have created a TVOS version of the app for Apple TV.
There are only 2 versions of the Apple TV currently for sale, the 4th gen and the 4k (5th gen). Each has 2 storage options, 32GB and 64GB. Unless you plan to download a lot of apps/games the smaller one is perfectly fine.
It seems there is indeed a native tvOS app for Kayo Sports on Apple TV:
Compatibility: iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Apple TV.
Subscriptions do not seem to go through the iTunes Store, but to Kayo directly.
