Wipe out the data/files on an Ibook G4?

I need to erase the disk so that I can recycle this old Ibook G4. No startup disks. Thanks!

There are a couple of ways to do this: via Target Disk Mode or physically removing the drive

1. Target Disk Mode Tech Tip: How to Boot and Use a Mac in Target Disk Mode | Other World Computing Blog

Then use Disk Tools on the other Mac to repair/erase the drive of the PowerBook

2. If you want to be REALLY confident, remove the HDD from the PowerBook and destroy the readability of the platters Destroy a Hard Drive – the Cheap and Easy Method | Tech Club
