El Capitain Raid 5 with 3 1TB drives, Viable but degraded

we have an El Capitan XServe Raid 5 with 3 1TB drives, it says that RS1 is Viable but degraded.

each of the 3 drives is green but we still see this error.

so do we replace the drives one at a time?

RAID not readable after 10.12 - 10.13 upgrade Hi all We have a Mac Pro 5,1 (2010-2012) that is our primary workhorse and the four internal drive bays are configured as a RAID. Recently, due to pressure from clients who supply Adobe-related files for us to work with, we were forced to update our Adobe applications and this required an update from 10.12 (Sierra) to 10.13 (High Sierra). We did so, somewhat begrudgingly, only to be greeted after reboot by four dialogues boxes informing us that each of our RAID set were 'unreadable by with computer', or whatever it actually says. Whatever the precise message, we have a lot of information on that RAID that we'd really like to see right now and we are panicking just a little. Has anyone else struck this situation and does anyone have a 'simple' solution? TIA!

Mac Pro RAID1 problem I've been running two 1TB internal discs as a RAID1 array. It suddenly stopped working. In disc Utility one of the discs is 'Missing' (presumably died) the second disc is marked as 'Online' but I cant access it. I've tried to 'Repair' it but it fails and I get the message "com.apple.StorageKit error 118". I'm bothered about getting the RAID up and running but I do need to at least retreive the Data. I did consider Disk Warrior but I'm not sure if it would be any help in this situation. Any suggestions gratefully received. Thanks John. Xsere Raid remove a misbehaving HDD from the array Hi, I have a second hand Xserve with the Xserve Raid module for home use. It's an overkill, but I have the place for it and it works for us. It's mainly serving video content through Plex. So the Raid unit has two controllers. One has 7 disks in it and one of the disks seems to be dead. There's a spare on the other side, but for some reason it's not used. (I understood that it would be used by either controllers if needed) So as the disks are too expensive to replace, I'd like to just remove the faulty disk from the Array. So to make the array smaller. Is this possible? I can't find info on that in the help file. /////////// On another note, as I canno't add to my old question about connecting to this raid unit - I was trying to plug it directly to the network card inside the xserve and this didn't work at all. Now I have plugged them into a switch and everything works fine.
