I want to be able to use my old iPhone 6s (plus) to use FaceTime & text (when connected to WiFi.
I am not able to right now. How do I set up my old iPhone to do that?

Is it activated? Does it have a SIM card?
A SIM card is required for activation. Activation is required to use it.
It has a SIM card. But there is no phone service.
I transferred my phone service to my brand new iPhone. But I still want to use my old iPhone for FaceTime audio, FaceTime video, and text.
How do I set that up. I know you can use iCloud e-mail or gmail e-mail to do that. How do I do that?
Check:
Settings > Messages > Send & Receive
Settings > FaceTime > [You can be reached by FaceTime at]
And, of course, be certain you're signed in to both using your Apple ID.
