Malwarebytes found pup.tuneupmyMac on my MacBook but will not quarantine it. How do I get rid of it?

MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2012), iOS 8.1.2

Please use the manual uninstall instructions and do not download any of the programs in the link above or the link I am posting. The programs can do more harm than good.
