Since Apple does not read these forums for customer input, I gave you a pointer to something that would be more effective.

Whether the feature you desire is something new, or something that has been desired from day 1, telling Apple directly is a much better approach.

Also, the more people that actually tell Apple, via Feedback, that they want this feature, the more likely someone in management will allocation engineering resources to make it happen.

But this forum is not going to get it done, as everyone here is a fellow user.

I just wish Nightstand mode would work without the watch being on a charger.

There is an X-Large watch face which is similar to nightstand mode (only it is blue). Also nightstand mode allows you to just tap the watch anywhere and it will light up. The X-Large watch face requires you to tap the screen. That is to say it is not using the accelerators to detect any vibration.

You can Deep Press the Watch face to switch to a different Watch face, so at night you can switch to the X-Large and during the day switch back to your normal Watch face.

To get the X-Large Watch face. Deep press your current Watch face. Scroll to the end of the list and select New (+). Then scroll through the available Watch faces and select X-Large.

You can use the iPhone "Watch" app to reorder the Watch faces so you can have your night and day Watch faces adjacent to each other.

That's the best response you can come up with? I guess you have no idea how many people have requested it. Apple knows, however, because they tabulate all requests to the feedback link, as well as contacts to Apple support at the top of this page and visits to genius bars. So it's likely that either it isn't a big enough number to bother, or perhaps it is good technical reason, such as leaving the display on for long periods will degrade it over time or result in "burn in". You will notice there has never been an option to have the display stay on while the phone is in use, and I HAVE seen a lot of requests for that. The closest they have done is an option to have it stay on for 70 seconds.

I had said you get a Blue face. From iPhone "Watch" app -> My Faces, you can tap your X-Large Watch Face and select any Color you desire for your X-Large Watch Face.

On the Apple Watch you can deep press the X-Large Watch Face, tap Customize and adjust the color by twisting the Digital Crown. If you slide the Customize Watch Face to the left, you can add a single complication to the X-Large Watch Face.

Another thing, you can choose to have the display stay on either the 15 seconds or 70 seconds using Apple Watch -> Settings -> General -> Wake Screen -> Wake for 70 seconds (you have to scroll down to the bottom of the Wake Screen display to see the Wake for 70 seconds entry.

What is “all the people”? Can you provide a number? 10? 20? 100? I’ve never seen a request for it before yours. C’mon, back up your hyperbole with facts.

Well, I actually suggested it to Apple awhile back myself. However, I've since discovered that I really do sleep better the less light there is in the room and without being able to see a clock.

You say Apple don't read these forums... More fool them.

Apple set up these forums so Apple users could work with each other. And these forums actually do an incredible job of helping fellow users. The volume of questions asked and answered in a single day is staggering.

Apple set up the <http://www.apple.com/feedback> web page for customers to communicate with Apple in a very low friction way. The Apple Support as another channel, plus the bug reporting mechanism. Please use one or more of them. It will be more effective than repeatedly telling users that have no control over Apple's product decisions.
