I am thinking of buying a 2019 Mac mini but only have an Asus

Asus pg348q 21:9 monitor. has anyone connected this monitor and have knowledge of how to do it if it's possible.

I cannot think of a single reason why it would not. That monitor is well within the display specs for the 2018 Mac mini. And see - Use 4K displays, 5K displays, and Ultra HD TVs with your Mac - Apple Support

Just get a good quality DisplayPort to usb-c display cable.
