What's Mailwasher Pro in Mac World?

Hi there, newbie to Mac, long time Windows user.

I get TONS of spam, and I'm finding Mac Mail isn't as good a filter as I'd like. When I was on Windows, I used a program called Mailwasher Pro.

MW interfaced between your ISP and your mail client, letting you know a "preview" of the mail in your box so you could review and quickly delete all the garbage, without having to download first.

I'm finding though, MW for mac isn't as effective, and you always have to "force" it to quit.

ANy suggestions? Thanks, Craig

There are numerous spam filter utilities. You'll find them at VersionTracker or MacUpdate. A good one to try is SpamSieve, but there are many others.

You need to train the spam filter in Mail and you can also create separate rules to filter out spam that isn't caught by the default filters. Use Mail Help from Mail's Help menu for assistance.

The reward system helps to increase community participation. When a community member gives you (or another member) a reward for providing helpful advice or a solution to their question, your accumulated points will increase your status level within the community.
Members may reward you with 5 points if they deem that your reply is helpful and 10 points if you post a solution to their issue. Likewise, when you mark a reply as Helpful or Solved in your own created topic, you will be awarding the respondent with the same point values.
