Volume Control/Bluetooth Headphones

Hi, I am new to this forum and new to macOS Mojave.

I used to use macOS Sierra. In Sierra, I was able to directly control the volume of my Bluetooth headphones by using the volume control keys on my keyboard. I noticed that in Mojave, these keys have no effect on the volume of my headphones. Instead, now I am required to adjust the volume using the volume control on my Bluetooth device, which is not preferable.

I am wondering if there is a way to revert to the old functionality when I was able to control the volume from my keyboard. Thank you in advance for your help.

I solved this by resetting the NVRAM on my iMac, just in case anyone out there is experiencing the same issue!
