iPhone XR will not restore
iPhone XR 64GB, iOS 12. I've posted this in "Using iPhone" thread as restoring is part of the iPhone experience, however, I apologize if this is technically the wrong community.
So some story -
Picked up my brand new iPhone XR this morning but during setup, I managed to input the wrong password, not once but twice, so I had a phone which I couldn't unlock and almost as soon as I got the phone I had to restore it, however, iTunes will not let me do that. Every time I restore the phone it just gets stuck on "waiting for iPhone" I've tried different USB cables, lightning cables, everything apart from a different PC as I cannot do that. I'm currently in the process of download the software again as I just completely reinstalled iTunes (yes, the last one was up to date) and will completely restart my PC once it's downloaded, I've also completely disabled my anti-virus.
So 2 questions,
A) Is it bad for the device that I've just had to restore it, basically brand new?
B) Will, with the changes I've made, hopefully, make it more likely for the restoration to succeed?
Also yes I did contact Apple support and got all the way up to a Senior Manager as considering my device is literally brand new it's something that shouldn't be happening. They did help a lot and I can't thank them enough they were polite and helpful just I can't contact the manager I was talking to again until tomorrow morning as he's not at work until then.
Thank you in advance if you reply.
