I created 2 playlists yesterday, 3 Dec 2018. One playlist will allow me to burn to cd, but the other has the option greyed out under the file tab and does not show it as an option under the … button.
Why can't I burn to disc when I created both playlists in the same way on the same day?
I'm not IT savvy so please explain any reply's in very simple terms and plain English. Thanks in advance.

File > Burn Playlist to Disc has been somewhat erratic since version 12.7.2 I think. Use the right-click option on the name of the playlist in the side bar. You cannot burn content that is in the cloud or comes from an Apple Music subscription.

Thanks tt2, it is indeed erratic! the odd part is that I created 2 separate playlists in the same way, but 1 won't burn and the other will! I have an apple music subscription and formed both playlists in the same way, adding them from a search of music on my phone. I think I might give the apple help phone number a go. Thanks for replying though it is very much appreciated.
