30 inch cinema display shows specs of light

Hello everyone,

i have an old Apple 30 inch cinema display that i bought used for a few years ago.

I love this old monitor, but now it is starting to show signs of its age.

This only happens when i have a black background or darker web pages, but there are a million tiny specs of light that move so fast around the screen.

Just wondering if this is typical for this type of monitor ?

I plugged my mac pro into a few other monitors and tv's just to make sure it wasn't the computer, and thankfully it wasn't :-)

or possibly the monitor doesn't play nice with my late 2013 mac pro ?
