Is anyone else experiencing red-orange skin tones when taking pictures of people on their iPhone XS’s?

When I take pictures of scenery and objects they turn out really nice. The minute I try to take a selfie or picture of someone their skin tone turns to a reddish orange color. I can’t figure out why it keeps doing this. True Tone is off as well. I went to an Apple store and mirrored the settings. The left is the XS and right is XR. What am I missing here? I only have 3 more days to exchange the phone if I decide to go with domething else. User uploaded file
