Uninstall Apowersoft Audio Device / Driver

Hello,

I downloaded the trial version of Apowersoft screen recorder app from the App Store. While testing it out it asked me to install an audio driver to be able to record screen audio, which I did.

However I decided to uninstall the app because having two audio drivers (Mac's default one and Apowersoft's) automatically made my Mac's output sound low. For example, if I was on a Skype video call (on speakers) the output sound was very low and feeble even at max sound volume.

After uninstalling Apowersoft (I used CleanMyMac to uninstall it) I still see Apowersoft audio driver installed and the default sound output is still low. I tried to go to System/Library/Extension and tried finding the one causing the problem but couldn't.

Can someone please help me uninstall this audio device / driver?

Thanks

MacBook Air, macOS Mojave (10.14.1)

Hello Rahul ,

People have been experiencing same problem when they uninstall Apowersoft screen recorder app from their Mac. They deleted every file they could find that appeared related to Apowersoft and still it appeared in Sound preferences and in Audio MIDI. But apowersoft will leave many files on their computer even after “uninstalling”.

To solve this problem the easiest way is:

  1. search Apowersoft with FindAnyFile, (great App by the way) which is able to probe corners of the Mac that Spotlight cannot reach, including invisible files.
  2. It enabled you to trash them all .
  3. then emptied the Trash.
  4. Restart
  5. Done, Apowersoft Audio Device gone.

Cheers. :)
