apple pay email contact invalid

I am trying to use apple pay to check out on the Under Armour app and I'm being rejected. The message says invalid email contact associated with my apple pay account: however, the email address listed in the apple pay checkout window is correct. I've used this mode of payment many times on the UA app in the past without any issues. I recently downloaded and installed IOS 12.1 on my phone and I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it. I've also reset my email contact and that doesn't work either. I've rebooted my phone, I've deleted/reinstalled the UA app but still no luck. Any ideas?
