New 2nd gen Shufle..how long to charge??? === Please Help ===

I got a new 2nd gen shuffle last night...added playlistys amd tried it..it worked.

Put in songs today, kept it on charge, played it when the green light came on...and it just didn't play. Simply flashed those green and amber lights for 2 secs and went off.

It has been more than 2 hours and since then i have been charging it, but it's still the same freakin amber light. It
does not seem to charge at all!!!!
Even with amber light after 2 hours, I assume it should atleast play for a while before going dead.

It's taking my brains out!

How long does it typically take to charge a new 1 GB shuffle?

It takes approx. 4 hours to fully charge a drained Shuffle. However, if you are seeing blinking green and orange lights together, your problem isn't about the battery charging. There are two possibilities:

1. Alternating green and two orange (10 seconds).....means ERROR: iPod Shuffle must be restored.

2. Alternating green and orange (2 seconds).....means ERROR: No music loaded.

Check which one fits your situation, then post back.

Thanks LV_Bill!...I really wanted to know how much time does it take to charge.

Like I said, it was blinking the lights for 2 seconds, which meant 'No Music'..so I was connecting it to the computer, and playing the songs on the iPod through the iTunes and they were there and playing.

Well, I just kept trying stuff, like putting in songs again, charging more. Don't know what was wrong but it started working for all it matters.

I have got a problem with my ipod 2nd gen shuffle. It firstly started out having power in the orange light, so not much, and then when i charged it for a few hours, no power went in.
Now the power has completely drained and i can neither charge it, get it detected by the computer nor can i open it. Whenever i plug it into a comp, sometimes it shows on the orange light for a few seconds and then disappears and nothing happens after that.

Please help me. (I love my ipod and my music =P
