No device list on Itunes./source pane

No device list on Itunes./source pane

I'm trying to locate the Source Pane on Itunes..
I noticed there isn't a DEVICE list on the left
side where it should be.

I only have Library, Store and Playlists.

Can anyone help? Thx.

Devices only appears when you connect an iPod, it's not permanently displayed. If your iPod isn't appearing have a look at this page: iTunes 7 for Windows doesn't recognize iPod

But I'm still getting a message...

"The Ipod owners Ipod cannot be updated because there is not
enough free space to hold all the items in the ITUNES library."

All I'm trying to move to my IPOd are (3) podcasts I move
over and listen to every week.

It looks like there's nothing else in the library?

How big are the three items? If they are 1.8GB they are not going to fit.
