My mail page has dropped the address from field where I use aliases.
I have gone to the customize page and there is no window or check box for it.
It dropped it yesterday and now will only send from my main address.
What mail page? Some webmail page? Or something in Mail.app? If you're talking Mail.app, are you talking about the Account pulldown menu when you are composing a new, or replying or forwarding an existing, message? Or are you talking about the message viewer window, that lists all your messages received, draft, sent, junk, trash, etc.?
If the former, if you only have the one email account set up in Mail > Preferences > Accounts, single click on that account name to highlight/select it, and doublecheck your (Mail > Preferences > Accounts >) Account Information's Email Address field, to see if you still have more than one email address listed there. Multiple addresses should be separated by a comma and blank space.
If the latter, go in the menubar Mail > View > Columns > and make sure that From is checked.
Its the mail app.
It does not give me the pull down menu to select aliases even thought he from is checked in the view tab.
It dropped it out this morning?
Okay, so you are talking about when composing a message in Mail.app, that you don't get the pull-down "Account" menu to choose from which account to (or email address alias to apparently) send from.
Have you yet tried looking at Mail > Preferences > Accounts, single click on your email account name to highlight/select it, and doublecheck your (Mail > Preferences > Accounts >) Account Information's Email Address field, to see if you still have more than one email address (each address separated from one another by a comma followed by a blank space) listed in that field?
I do not get the pull down box and when I do what you suggested it does not show any of the aliases but they are still in the main account info if I check to edit them.
So all email address names and aliases show up in Mail > Preferences > Accounts > Account Information > Email Address field. They show up as
user1@domain1, user2@domain2, user3@domain3, ... with comma+space delimiter between addresses/aliases?
If so,......hmmmmm........then I must defer to others on this forum....
