Changing the speed of the movie without changing the pitch

Hi,

Is there a way to create a movie and change the speed of the movie without changing the pitch of the audio??

Hi Dino!

I would have thought that, if you extract the audio first, and then change the speed of the video, the audio would remain unchanged.

But would they remain in sync?

It does. However, i want to change the speed of the audio to match the video: I just don't want the pitch to change.

For example: someone talking on the video, I want to speed up the video and the talking but I don't want them to sound like chipmunks.

I think, this is a two-(many?)-step process, because 'speeding up' is allways pitching audio...

so... my workflow would be:
* extract audio from clip
* speed up video
* export audio (Quicktime/Expert/aiff
* use any audio app which allows pitching (Amazing Slowdowner, Audacity...), change speed/pich
* import back into iM....

probably a little tricky to find the right, sync settings... but you asked for a very .. 'advanced' effect ...
