Free domains???

Is there any place to simply register a domain name for free,WITHOUT having to sign up for hosting service?

Just domain names.

Hi,

Hubby and I bought 3 at GoDaddy.com and 1 is in use and 2 are "parked" there. There was no charge for parking.
