Wiggles On Freeze Frames?

This process doesn't show in Final Cut, but here are the steps I followed and still get wiggles in freeze frames in the exported final product:

1. In the Canvas, position the playhead on the desired frame.
2. Choose Modify - Make freeze frame.
3. The new freeze frame image opens in the viewer window as a clip (10
seconds).
4. Edit the (10 second) clip from the viewer into the
timeline.

Any suggestions? Does de-interlace come into play with freeze frames as well as stills?

Yet another reason to be monitoring on an external TV monitor WHILE you're editing in FCP. Yes, you've chosen a frame of the video that contained enough motion to cause the two fields that make up the single frame to jitter when viewed on an interlace scan monitor. The fix is to choose an image that doesn't contain much motion or throw away half of the vertical resolution by applying the deinterlace filter.
