iPod opens explorer on connect

I am having a horrible time. I just got a new computer and every time I plug my ipod into the computer, windows opens up an explorer windows which allows me to view the contents of the ipod in file mode. I never used to get this while I did have file/disk mode enabled. Also, i dont have autorun turned on, so I'm at a total loss as to why this is happening.
