IMovie Dual Monitor Configuration

I have a mac book pro which works with a secondary monitor in dual screen mode, but the problem is that programmes like imovies don't seem to have a dual screen function. Even in IDVD you seem to have to drag the full screen mode box onto the second desk top - rather than having a second seprate screen for playback. Is there any way round this?

Mac OS X (10.4.3)

no.
the iApps, as a consumer product, are 'single windowed', meaning:
the whole app is 'pressed' into a single window...
FinalCutExpress or PhotoshopElements, as an example, are made of 'many' windows and it's great fun two use two monitors... 😉

Dan3,

There is a preference in iMovie that allows video playback to a connected DV camera.

If your camera is capable of it, you could then connect it to a television to see your movie as it plays in iMovie.

It's not quite what you're looking for, but I thought I'd mention it anyway.
